We do not need to go out and find love; rather, we need to be still and let love discover us.

Testimonials

We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.

Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves.

Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grows. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed and rare.

I have had the honor of having Paula as one of 2 teachers in my 200 hour yoga teacher training. I have also taken many of Paula's yoga classes and participated in women's circles where she led. She is encouraging and supportive in everything she does. She has a bright gift of teaching, is funny, humble, and always brings to light valuable practical insights. She has a gift for bringing women together and inspiring within the group, very meaningful and uplifting connections. She cares about the deep, important aspects of our lives that influence all we feel and do. She has so much to offer those who come to her classes and workshops. We are lucky to have her!

I think for me what was most meaningful to me regarding the pelvic floor work that we did was the connection of women in a dedicated and sacred space devoted to literal self care of such an intimate aspect of ourselves. It is an invitation to slow down, to look within and fine tune our awareness of our intricately woven and very living bodymind. Prior to the class I would feel despairing at times because I felt walled off from my pelvic floor, and I felt afraid that I would remain this way forever, and I am so young...too young to lose touch with and control over my body.  I felt like I had lost part of myself somewhere along the way of life, in steeling myself physically and energetically to accomplish challenging external goals, I felt out of touch with my internal world and my ability to tune in to the subtleness of my body’s messages. This class is a sacred space where we are guided to do just that. I felt uplifted to feel the awareness shift in a positive direction for my mind and body. Large shifts begin with small changes, which start with an intention. My spirit was weary from all the life changes and work I was doing in school and at the hospital, and I needed a space to focus on myself and refill my cup in a safe environment, and this class was perfect for me at the time. I would love to take it again, when I can.

Thank you for your guidance and teaching and holding the space and shaping the experience!

Paula is a woman of strength and tenderness - a powerful combination; a woman of creativity and spirit in all that she does and in her way of teaching. I highly respect her skills and love her as a person, a spiritual entity and teacher. It has been an honor to be a student of hers.

I was fortunate enough to have had Paula as one of my teachers for my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through The Living Yoga Academy, Morro Bay.   Paula is a natural and gifted leader, facilitator and guide for anyone on the yoga path. Her knowledge of the history, principles and practice of yoga is deep and practiced.  Yet Paula teaches not so much from her knowledge as from her heart and experience.  I also love and appreciate Paula’s sense of play.  She balances intensity and “being in our heads” with levity; humor, song and dance.  I have learned and grown from spending time with Paula’s gift for guidance on my own yoga journey.

I have taken Paula’s pelvic floor series over the past 2 years. Her passion for the topic and how it can change women’s lives is combined with her compassion for the individual stories we bring to the class. A safe environment that shows results!

This Yoga teacher training program turned into a more comprehensive training experience than I had initially anticipated. I appreciated all the facets and tenants that were covered and their ability to work with our strengths, challenges and our individual focus of interest. Paula and Jennifer make a great teaching combo with their individual scope of experiences and teaching styles. In addition to the above, it is clear that they live and embody what they teach. Their dedication to Yoga and commitment to mentor and train new teachers is a heartfelt dedication They consistently demonstrated patience, compassion, humor, accountability and professionalism, holding us to a high standard while honoring our differences. An amazing experience that has positively influenced my life in all domains.

- With gratitude and best regards, Lola Whiteley

This program was an intense journey into the heart of yoga.  Although practicing the asanas was a key element in our yoga studies, there was so much more to consider and take in.  Ultimately we were given an opportunity for a lifestyle that enhanced our personal development through daily practice, self-study, surrender and equanimity.  I highly recommend this program to deepen your yoga practice and overall well-being.
